Wondering if it’s possible to fix the text colour above the selection wheel for inline moderation so that it’s legible. My eyes are so bad I don’t think I’ve ever realised that there was supposed to be text there before today.
I like the sound of that and it certainly sounds doable. I'll talk it over with @Satan and the other forum volunteers when I have some more free time. And just for future reference, we do have this thread in the Community Area for Event and Competition ideas.
Have no fear, we already have one of those! Go to your Personal Details settings (https://zeldadungeon.net/forum/account/personal-details) and scroll down to just above the "About Me" box. You can input it there.
The word "****" should be added to the censor. Saw it in a post by another user as a typo, but since we are a forum that has a censor in place, this particular word should be in it.
Would it be possible to have an option to disable embedded images and YouTube links from parsing in the status update widget on the forum main page? Most of the time they're cut off and display incorrectly, and the occasional large gif that finds its way in there can sometimes make my computer...
At last check all the ones Kitsu made, but I haven't checked the ones you made or the others. It's not for lack of wrapping it in the code. I didn't mean that it wasn't parsing. What I mean is that on each theme, the code used to shade in the cell blue, red, or green with a matching coloured...
The shading inside the cells for the table code and the coloured outline for the regular table code () seems to not be displaying correctly, or at all. Can this possibly be fixed, please?
Just letting you know this has been brought up. I have literally just PMed Jimmy about this after viewing the ShoutBox conversation that went down and the word that Term was asking about last week in this thread.
We usually post a thread when we're looking for new Forum Volunteers for members to express their interest. We then select from those applications who we think would be best suited for the position based on their application responses and forum activity.
PatCat and I feel that this may not be the best way to go forward considering that a lot of us feel that the reason interest in competitions waned was due to the frequency with which they were being run.
PatCat and I really like the idea of staggering the competitions and think this is...
Yeah, it's pretty much exactly as Dan put it. The lack of entries from the community pretty much killed the area off last year. To give you some idea, out of 21 rounds that I've run for the drawing competition, 13 of those had no entries. Of the 8 that did have entries, around half of those only...
It would be nice if SB notifications from the Community forum were re-enabled. Event participation also seems to have suffered due to lack of SB notifications from that forum.
For the time being, you can always watch a thread to get a notification when there is any new activity in the thread...
Was reading the SB archive and I noticed that I can see the :fact: emote despite having it blocked in my preferences. Could you maybe look into fixing this please?
(Side note: I added tags to your quote so that it's visible in its entirety.)
Yeah, some tags are disabled for the Shoutbox. I know that those ones you've posted work elsewhere as I use those all the time in the "What Song Are You Listening To?" thread and of course you need the [img] tag for...
I use a fair few of those codes and I've not had a problem with any of them parsing. Which ones don't work any more? Knowing this'll make it a lot easier for us to clean them up.
I was under the impression that everyone has the option to ban themselves, for some reason. I've seen users say that hitting that option works until you refresh the page.
I'd like to bring this up again because the issue came up with a recent entry in the Writing Competition. I still think that umu, unu, uvu, uwu (and any other variation I may have missed) need to be generated using colons so that real words that contain them don't parse as an emote.
Words like accumulate contain umu. Words like unusual contain unu. When used on the forum, the words are going to contain the emotes within them. I have a lot of emotes blocked so when I preview a post, I'm not going to see that the tag needs to be added anywhere. But others who don't, and...
True. I guess "D:" is not really a combination you run into very often outside of emotes and mafia games. It just happened to be something I noticed 'cause I don't (well, didn't) have that emote blocked. I was quite fond of the horror emote we had for that one on vB.
But I definitely think the...
I think it's time to edit the code for the smilies that affect general words and grammar usage. I should be able to type a capital D followed by a colon or the word unusual without it parsing into an emote.
Eg:
At the very least, have them generated using colons like :;): to stop this...
This thread needs a bit of cleaning up.
Post #2 needs to have the link updated so that it properly links to this thread.
Posts #3-#8 need to be trashed, as they have already been updated and included in the OP.
Isn't that just the line separating the post from the signature? I switched to the red theme to take a look, but can't see any difference between it and the blue theme.
I don't think so. That thread contains the generic rules for all the competitions and serves as that section's rules thread and I think the title should reflect that.
I think that this thread's title should be changed to something a bit more explicit such as "General ZD Competition Rules" or something along those lines.
Is it possible to get users' birthdays to display on the main forum page again, like on vB? I know they're displayed in the members tab, but it's a bit out of the way.
And what happened to the "Visitors in the last 24hrs" list?
Spoiler tags don't seem to be working on VMs. So, when chatting with some members about main plot details of things, you can't tag them.
Also, I can't seem to get the [HR] tag to work properly. Whenever I've tried to use it, it always cuts off all text that's supposed to display underneath it.
On the official rules page this line, in the "Be Mindful of Others" section:
should be edited to:
Also, the old tag doesn't work anymore so in the "Contesting Unfair or Undeserved Infractions" section where it states:
You need to advanced link to the "Contest Unfair Infractions Here" thread...
Something Stitch mentioned in this post: Perhaps the title of the thread "What Did You Last View On YouTube" should be changed now that we can embed more than just YouTube videos onto the forum.
Something like "What Was The Last Video You Viewed" seems pretty generic enough to me.
I hate to do this to the mods again, but every single forum that has its own forum specific rules is going to need to have the link to the main forum rules updated so that it links to the correct page. Sorry guys.
Is it possible to stop BB Code from parsing while editing a thread? I don't mean stopping it from displaying in the post, but when I click to edit a post I've made, all BB Code is still parsed in the editor, like in a Word document.
On this page, when rolling over the tabs Everyone, Members, Guests and Robots using the Blue theme, the highlight is green instead of blue like it is on other tabs. Just thought I'd let you know.
If you take a look at this post while using the ZD blue and ZD green layouts, the "Attached Thumbnails" box is completely white and looks really odd. Thought it might be something you can fix as it looks fine on ZD brown and The Dark World themes. I know it's just an aesthetic thing but still.
Not to sound like a broken record, but I think all the sections with their own section specific rules need to have the link to the main site rules updated, such as Zelda Theory, the MD, Forum Games, etc.
At the very bottom left of the main page, there is a "contact us" button. If you click on that, it leads to a form where you can submit things like feedback, suggestions and walkthrough errors. I don't know if that differs to the "contact us" button on the forums. Regardless, here's a link...
Yeah, this has been going on for a while, as Kitsu says. Also, as it's right next to the "reply" button, I've often found myself hitting "edit" accidentally. I'm in support of removing this privilege for non mods.
