Is the Master Sword Zoni made?

It does, but the Zonai are totally absent. SS allegedly takes place during a period where the Zonai would be active, but they're all hiding just off screen. There are plenty of other ancient dead civilizations that the technology could also belong to.

Is the Master Sword Zoni made?

I don't think the Master Sword was made by the Zonai, since the Zonai were never referenced in Skyward Sword and we see the Goddess Sword transition into the Master Sword there with zero Zonai involvement. As for the next game? I go wherever there's a good story, but I would like the franchise...

TOTK Ganondorf and OOT Ganondorf cannot be the same

I think I'd point to how the lore books treat Ganon as a singular entity whenever he appears. I've never read the encyclopedia, but Hyrule Historia treats Ganon as one guy and there isn't really anything to suggest otherwise outside of TotK's shoddy writing. Having the Ganon of TotK just be...

    The always online video game

It's no secret that the live service model has lodged itself in the world of video gaming like a brain tumor resisting chemotherapy. For all the complaints about live service games, people keep spending money on them. Games like Genshin Impact will be derided by gamers for their feeding into a...

I don't think anyone has ever looked at it like that, especially since Wind Waker's introduction says it isn't.

Has Link ever talked in a game? Would you want him to?

I think the conceit of the thread is about whether or not people would like Link to have visible lines of dialogue, not just if he can press a button to engage in conversation.

    Old Books

My favorite older book would probably be Ender's Game. It's a very good book with some so-so sequels. The author's a massive prick, but he's mostly faded into the background in recent years.

Which Zelda games show the best roles for Princess Zelda?

I would offer the counterpoint that Zelda doesn't do much of anything in Twilight Princess. Her role as a monarch is consigned to a singular flashback after which she spends the rest of the game as a victim.

Has Link ever talked in a game? Would you want him to?

He has never talked to anything meaningful extent outside of one or two lines in Zelda 2 and the "come on" call-out in Wind Waker. My issue isn't the dialogue, but that him being silent somehow makes him a better "player avatar". It doesn't improve my immersion of Link just stands there drooling...

Would These Be Cool Features in The Up-coming L.O.Z Movie?

Which is why Nintendo should stay far away from the writers room, because they suck at writing. A movie isn't a game and Nintendo can't throw up the "it's okay that our writing sucks, because our gameplay is pretty bog standard is the tops, baby" excuse if the adaptation is bad. You don't apply...

Would These Be Cool Features in The Up-coming L.O.Z Movie?

Because the movie shouldn't be there to incorporate a bunch of obscure lore stuff and provide answers about things Nintendo doesn't care about. There's a reason the recent Five Nights at Freddy's movie focuses on a more condensed story and doesn't try to draw in a bunch of stuff from across ten...

Would These Be Cool Features in The Up-coming L.O.Z Movie?

I doubt the movie is going to answer any outstanding lore questions, since Nintendo doesn't care about the lore that really isn't how you do a movie adaptation. When you're taking something like Zelda and translating it into a movie you shouldn't be focusing on anything but writing a good movie...

Have You Ever Participated in a Beta?

Skyward Sword and it ain't even close. I don't think any game has damaged my overall perception of a franchise with its quality like Skyward Sword did. Even trying to play it in 2023 on my PC feels like an arduous task. If I could call something like Borderlands 3 aggressively unfunny then I...

Live Action Zelda Movie in the Works

I don't really practice loyalty when it comes to my parasocial relationships. He might have been doing good stuff back in the 1980s, but...

She is Malenia, the Blade of Miquella, and she has never known defeat. Well, you probably aren't going to see anything in game suggesting that timeline's existence, since it was only mentioned in a source book and nowhere else and Nintendo hates revisiting old ideas. Gaming hopes wishlist

I'd love for a video game adaptation of Superman that doesn't suck. He's a cool character with a powerset that would make for a fun game, but studios seem afraid to touch him. His last solo outing was the awful Superman Returns adaptation, and the blue boy scout deserves better than that.
