Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment Announced!

I'm definitely excited to see more of the IW. I just don't follow how we should've gotten the whole thing in TotK. To me, it makes sense we got a condensed version of it. It wasn't the focal point of that game.

I can't wait! Playing as Rauru and an even stronger Zelda? Yes please

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

Smh. I've never seen someone refuse to answer a simple question so much in my life. Kudos to you my friend

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

Um, no. There's one version of Luke. That's the canon one. Should every Luke fan have their vision respected equally? How are all of them supposed to be respected?

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

Ok, so every fan of Luke should have their vision respected equally? What if there are 500 different visions, how are all of them supposed to be respected?

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

You still haven't been able to tell me why some fans of Luke deserve a voice over other fans of Luke.

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

Why do they deserve a voice more than other fans though?

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

I don't either. I love the LJ and what was done with Luke. It was better than any prequel movie, with the exception of ep 3.

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

I asked why some Star Wars fans deserve special treatment over other Star Wars fans

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

That's nice, but it doesn't actually answer my question. Besides, the sonic franchise doesn't even come close to the star wars franchise in regards to how many fans it has.
  11. A

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

But what makes those fans think they are entitled to any kind of respect over other fans?

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

The tough thing with this, is there are many fans of Star Wars who love Luke even after TLJ. I'd rather they do what they think is best, instead of listening to specific fans

Star Wars is not dead, far from it, it's only the new "canon" that's dead...

Yeah, it's been resurrected/reincarnated more times than Ganondorf

Do you still visit movie theaters?

Yes! I have a small theater close by that will show old movies as well as new. It's really fun to watch movies in the theater that I didn't get to when I was younger. At least for now, the cost of tix are still cheaper than your big amc theaters

    Real vs Fake Xmas Tree

We alternate every other year. I prefer real, but they're an expense that isn't one I want to spend on every year. To me, it's not about the tree anyway, it's the decorations. All of mine are ones that my mom had used since the 80s. My girlfriend has her own collection, and we just mix it all...

Would you rather have the Zelda movie retell a game story or an entirely new story?

A new story that leads to a retelling would be cool. Just not Ocarina of Time.

Tears of the Kingdom Zonai or Sheikah?

Zonai all the way. I'm hopeful we'll get a game pre founding, that way I can see more of them. Even without it, we learn a lot about what their culture/civilization was like though.

    NBA discussion

I'm kind of the same. Started watching basketball in 1990, and was instantly a Bulls fan. My Grandpa was a Blazers fan (most of my family lives in Portland, OR) I still remember watching the 93 finals at him and my Grandma's house. I'm not a big fan of modern NBA either. I won't say it's bad...

How long have you been a fan? If you could put together a 5 man team, who would it be? What do you think of the modern era?

What's Your, "Sir, This is a Wendy's" Topic?

I actually don't have anything that I'd say I know a whole lot about. I'm someone that dabbles in a lot of different things, but never one thing a whole lot. Way too many interests Nice! How long have you been watching? Who's your GOAT team?

Things That Are on Your Mind

I watched that movie as a kid back in the 90s. It's one of my favorite movies. Wouldn't care for a deadpool crossover, but I'd definitely watch a remake

Lol that's an interesting set up. I go with the hylian hood (down), archaic tunic (purple or red) and hylian trousers (black) Nice! I've seen that done a couple times on youtube. Mine was a house with the addition Zonai metal shrine blocks

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

Same here! I love it in this game. Even more so than I did in BotW. There's so much in the sky and the depths. All the worldbuilding is crazy. I've never wanted to engage with it as much as I have in TotK. Right? I'm a pretty creative person, but some of the things I've seen are pretty cool...

TotK has only been out a little over a year, and outsold any other Zelda game outside BotW. Let people enjoy things that are still pretty fresh to them. It's like you're mad that people like something you don't

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

Not in the ways that I find meaningful. I'd argue yes, because there's more to the world besides those challenges. The stuff I find meaningful is essentially everything that can be done in the world. Foraging for stones, climbing mountains to get a beautiful view, chopping down trees for...

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

Depends on the person. Having an item at the end isn't really meaningful for me. It's the experience on the whole that I find meaningful. I'm I getting more of the world, more views, more places to explore, etc etc. That's the stuff I find meaningful. That kind of stuff wasn't there in the old...

Who's making a non canon timeline? As far as I know people's timelines only consist of Zelda games

I agree! That also goes for the ones saying the developers don't care. Both are flat out wrong, so I just ignore them

    Zelda Fans & The Timeline

Huh? They aren't connected to each other or the rest of the timeline? When did they stop encouraging fans to come up with their own interpretations?

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what unfinished means, nor what objectively means. You're trying to apply a universal standard to the design of the game, and it just doesn't work. Have a good one though

    Your Year in Music.

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

Disagree. Oh well The amount of choices in the game are a lot closer to 1, than they are limitless. Even in the extreme cases. Lol not even close. As I said, those dungeons provided minimal storytelling. Outside of what you stated, that's about all there is to those temples. Devs were much...

If you aren't using the pieces to the puzzle, to complete the shrine, I'd say you are leaving the puzzle unfinished. Flip side is I can complete the puzzle, and leave the shrine without gaining the blessing. I do not look at the shrine and puzzle within it as one in the same.
  42. A

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

And finish them by gaining the blessing at the end of the shrine. You are absolutely completing the shrine. If you choose to ignore the puzzle before completing the shrine, that is on you. You left it unfinished, not the devs. Many of the landscapes are so beautiful to look at depending on how...

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

You don't have to add your own rules though. There are already some in place. You just don't like how vague they are. I disagree. Having multiple choices/ways to complete something is not inherently a good or bad thing. In fact, it's a reflection of the real world. These games do a pretty good...

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

But that doesn't mean we're designing the game though. Or it's objectively bad game design. Having multiple choices to complete something isn't objectively a bad thing. Nor is something not meaningful. The puzzle is still there though. If you choose to not engage with it and skip to the end...

Tears of the Kingdom this rivals some of the worst games i've ever played; and i'm a life-long zelda fan

That's not really any different from past Zelda games though. Find keys, unlock doors to boss, defeat and move on. Same thing, over and over. Both of us would be leaving out all the meat and focusing on the bones. Totk does give more freedom, but you're still working within the rules of the...
