There are some parts in the Forest Temple that seem like you can't beat them yet (like a frozen eye switch that looks like you use Din's Fire on), but really, there's other ways to do it. Just refer to walkthroughs if you get too stuck and you'll be back to preadolescence in no time :)

The only person who was in the Forest and wasn't a Kokiri was Link anyway, so you wouldn't "outlive" anyone, unless you count the people that get lost and turn into Stalfos. But on another note, it'd be a pain in the butt to have a fight with one of your friends because you're both too young...
