since i was doing a 6-heart run on my first playthrough, and i used no fairies or potions, took me about 10 tries. still, it feels awesome when you can beat him with next to nothing. :)

I found ghirahim much easier. took me only one try. oh, and I beat him without a shield. the backflip allows you to evade everything but the anti skyward strike (though it doesn't let you counterattack quick enough).

I don't understand how people think the volcano area is the hardest. I managed to get all the areas done without taking a single hit, except skyloft. Skyloft is of medium size, but is simply PACKED with guardians and sentinels, so once you're caught it's easy to get killed. I found that the...

So...I beat down demise for good after about 10 tries. it's really tough with no potions, as demise can 3-hit ko you. I feel like that dude who beat demise in 1 minute-I can handle the first phase as well as that guy but i always take heavy damage with the second phase. Hero mode will be fun.

they're called "sacred flames", so it can't really be an essence. and by two years, I meant two years give or take several months.

not a bad idea, but it wouldn't be very climatic to have the big boss die and Ghirahim attack you after (even with stolen powers).

you're right! the flames can represent each [diety?]. but i'm not sure about naryu's flames. just doesn't fit. first time i heard of skyward sword (about 2 years ago), i thought it was skyward SOAR. an hour wasted on google. Epic fail.

Not infused with din's fire. It's one of the three sacred flames, and it'd be odd to have Din's flame, Nayru's flame, and Farore's flame.

I'm pretty sure he's looking to take Zelda, or some form of her power. My guess is this- 1. beats up sheikah 2. zelda gives harp to Link 3. Ghirahim teleports Zelda 4. Link attacks 5. Ghirahim leaves, because he doesn't need to bother with Link (not running away) This would explain why...
