I do take idioms seriously. It's an intentional diffusion of the conversation.
As to revenge, it's a debatable thing. The Lord, my God, says that revenge is NOT "right". I agree with Him. I think that it is "left" to those who wish to make their point known. I do not intend to cause serious damage, nor do I intend to bury a motley-clad Nathan Rumphol-Janc ("Fortunato") in the walls of a wine cellar. I intend to come back, again and again, until they can fit it into their heads that THEY CANNOT STOP ME. That is how I take revenge. It is not malicious, though it is not entirely benevolent either. However, hatred clouds the mind, and acts as a dense fog to those who wish to see where they are going in their life. Sure, I could use hypnosis and rid myself of the feeling, but where is the fun in that? The bottom line is, it would be beneficial to rid one's self of hatred in order to follow the truth.
Again, this supports my argument that "feelings are the enemy of efficiency". Unfortunately, feelings are also unavoidable. They sicken the mind, blinding it of true purpose. And then, even though life seems to throw so many reminders at me, I just can't escape them. "Love", "sadness", "hatred", and all these other representations of feeling seem to rise from the ashes, day by day, like the Phoenix. And, being of fire, they all burn.
