I know people tend to criticize tetra's transformation because of her dialogue in the castle being so timid and unlike tetra
But the game makes it obvious that this is a temporary moment of shock for tetra, since shes back to her winking self in time for the final battle with ganondorf.
Like c'mon guys I get that you have to nitpick in order to find something wrong with the perfect game but this ain't it
It also takes up almost all of her screen time. The moment Tetra is given significant screentime, she is transformed into Zelda, turned into a mewling damsel in distress, and shoved in a closet.
She barely had any time after dropping the disguise to interact with Link.
Then write it better so she does. Provide time for meaningful character interaction.

What? Blatantly untrue. Both the cutscene in the bomb shop and the cutscene in forsaken fortress are longer than the hyrule castle cutscene, not to mention all the time at the beginning of the game and the stone dialogue pieces

The story isn't about Tetra. She's a part of it, but she isn't the focus. She becomes more relevant when she becomes the damsel in distress, but that means that Tetra doesnt need Link before that.

Eh...I'd contend that Tetra is just as much a part of the story as Link is. Or she is until the game decides she's not. Which just so happens to coincide with her transforming into the princess.

It is no longer than her involvement in Hyrule, her being kidnapped, and her waking up and standing off to the side while Link does most of the work.

It isn't about Tetra, but the story really isn't about any good characters either. Tetra is the closest before the game writers her off.
Also yeah kinda hard to call her a damsel in distress when she literally is instrumental to beating ganon
After spending most of her on screen time being turned into a damsel in distress, hiding with the King of Red Lions, and being kidnapped by Ganon.
