The Halo series has definitely turned out some iconic tunes; the music of the first three games won many awards, and the Original Soundtrack from Halo 2 is still the best selling video game soundtrack of all time. One of the composers behind the success, Martin O’Donnell, recently voiced interest in working on the Legend of Zelda series while being interviewed on The Act Man Youtube channel.

When asked if there were any game series that he would love to have worked on, he mentioned Zelda:

I would love to work on Zelda… I love Zelda, I’ve played all the Zeldas.” – Martin O’Donnell

Other games he noted were Shadow of the ColossusIco, and the indie game Journey. You can check out the full interview in the video linked above!

Before Candence of Hyrule, Nintendo never let anyone besides internal composers for the company officially put their spin on the Zelda series’ music. Would you like for games in the mainline series to be handed off to some new composers, such as Martin O’Donnell, or any others in particular? Sound off in the comments below!
