It’s no secret that the Super Smash Bros. community is alive and kickin’, with a decently healthy split of players who still enjoy Melee while another big crowd has moved onto Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. While the competitive scene is alive and well in both iterations of the series, it’s the fan modding community that gets the spotlight today. Sometime ago, a massive fan project known as Project M went public. Project M was a modified version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl that aimed to make the gameplay more like Melee, and it didn’t even require the hacking of your Wii console to enjoy it.

A newer mod created for Project M includes a slew of epic finishers, such as never-before-seen characters Fierce Deity and Skull Kid (or at least, I haven’t seen them until now). It also includes a new finisher for Captain Falcon that features the King of Red Lions. Of course, the footage also shows off a slew of new finishers for other characters, with Mario getting a fairly big emphasis. What do you think? You can download this mod right here: just be sure you’re running Project M first.
