When you think of the most useful tools that Link has in his arsenal, would the Iron Boots be your first choice? Have you ever wondered how to use statistics and the power of science and mathematics to prove this point? Well, in this mind-blowing video, media theorist The Theorizer has attempted to do just that!

The Theorizer admits that he plays video games infrequently, but one game he absolutely loved was The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. He sees Toon Link as a character that abides by some crazy mockery of physics and enjoys explaining these quirks in his unique style. In this video, he asks if the Iron Boots could actually stand up to the strong winds in the game? With this thought, he begins to tackle the problem by sharing how to calculate the physical proportions of Toon Link and how heavy the Iron Boots actually are. As someone who hasn’t really tangled with equations and geometry of this caliber since my high school days, this was an intriguing trip! Theorizer makes the effort to show visuals and make connections every step of the way, so you can see how he has arrived at his final answer.

This video won’t be for everyone, but you will be impressed at the lengths Theorizer will go to show the insane strength of Toon Link. I have to give him credit for the amount of time, research, and brain scratching he must have gone through to put this video together. Do you want to know what hurricane category Toon Link can withstand in his Iron Boots? Well, you’ll have to watch it to find out!

So, have you ever watched a theory video of this type before? Was Theorizer able to keep your attention, or did you get lost in the sea of numbers? Do you disagree with any of the formulas used?  Whatever your point of view, share your thoughts in the comments below!
