Feel the Beat with This Electronic OverClocked ReMix of the Zelda Shop Theme

Who remembers walking into their first shop in Ocarina of Time and hearing the light jingling music in the background? Ever wondered what that tune would sound like with some electronic backing, and an accordion to boot? Well, thanks to OverClocked ReMix user Nostalvania, you need wonder no more.

While this remix, titled “Buy or Bye,” probably wouldn’t fit the shops so well anymore (at least, the shops I’m used to), it takes the melody to a whole new level, giving it much more energy and movement. The added accordion makes me feel like it wouldn’t be out of place at a Cèilidh or barn dance, with couples bouncing around a hall together.

OverClocked is an organization encouraging people to preserve and enhance video game music and currently plays host to thousands of fan remixes. User Nostalvania has also been responsible for other Zelda remixes in the past, including “A Royal Appearance” (“Zelda’s Theme” from Ocarina of Time), the catchy “Come to the Dark Side, It’s a Funky Place” (“Dark World” from A Link to the Past), as well as various other non-Zelda remixes.
