Skyward Sword has introduced a brilliant set of new adventurous capabilities we have never seen before in the Zelda series. Not only did it completely change the gameplay of Zelda – bringing upon the Wii Motion+ – in ways never before imaginable, but it also presented to us many new concepts never before seen in the Zelda series. Goddess cubes, flying, the stamina meter, shield meter, and many other new additions are just a few. Our featured thread for today is What Do You Like the Most About Skyward Sword? The most exciting new addition that I found in Skyward Sword – beside the obvious choice of motion controls that respond perfectly to your every movement – was the stamina meter. I found that it added a new little twist to the game that we never saw before in the series. It did it’s part on a small scale, but definitely brought in a new level of challenge. Running up steep slopes, climbing vines, combat, and many other things used the stamina meter. It added a little something to the game that isn’t quite describable. If you weren’t paying attention, you were likely to face some consequences. Besides that, sprinting was one of the better additions, enabled by the stamina meter. It allowed for a more expansive environment because distances could be covered more easily, and helped along those rushy players.
