Featured Fanart: Moosh

This week our featured fanart is “Moosh” by deviantART artist kamifish.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Oracle games, Moosh is one of the adorable animal pals Link can befriend to assist him in travel; specifically, Moosh lets Link cross over gaps in the terrain via flight. In this piece however, it seems that Link and Moosh have taken a break from saving the day to take a quick nap in the shade of a tree. I must say, the lighting and coloring in general are gorgeous to look at, with a serene color palette giving off the feel of a comfortable summer’s afternoon. The little splotches of light from the gaps between tree leaves here and there show wonderful attention to detail, and the overall painting style makes the scene appear so soft you almost want to join them for a nap yourself. Not to mention, Moosh is simply adorable here. What do you guys think?
