Fanmade A Link to the Past Audio Add-On Revolutionizes the Game’s Sound

Some fans have developed an audio patch for the original A Link to the Past that completely modernizes the game’s music and sounds, making the audio about a million times better than it was before. Using this free patch, you can make the SNES sound as if it were orchestrated.

You can add this patch to a legally obtained copy of the game, played by an S2DSNES, or by the higan emulator, made by byuu, the creator of this patch.

The patch is downloadable here, and it sounds absolutely incredible. Honestly, it’s unbelievable that this is being recorded from a real Super Nintendo.
