Fan Creates Legend of Zelda Playing Cards

Have you ever wanted some The Legend of Zelda inspired playing cards? After a suggestion from a fellow Reddit user, one fan made their own! Reddit user jamieoliver22 designed and created a Legend of Zelda themed deck of playing cards with their own original artwork. After Oliver shared an image of a poster they finished while practicing illustration, a fellow Zelda fan suggested turning them into playing cards.

There have been many questions about whether Oliver will be selling their Legend of Zelda inspired cards, titled “Cards of the Hero,” since the artwork used to design the cards is 100% their own. Oliver only commented with:

“I’m going to be getting a single copy printed on actually [sic] cards, I’ve found company that isn’t too expensive – on some nice 310gsm linen textured card. Just for my own use, to see how they look.

But regarding selling them, I’m not sure how best to do that, or what implications it would bring? Especially with it being based on a licensed IP, even though all of the artwork is my own – does anyone have an advice in this area?” — Jamie Oliver
