One of the most recognizable overworlds in the Zelda series is that of A Link to the Past. The game’s top-down view makes the world feel so much more open and just enhances the sense of adventure. Have you ever wished you could explore it in more detail? Well now you can!

Youtuber BenXC, who specializes in creating worlds in the Square Enix world builders Dragon Quest Builders and Dragon Quest Builders 2, is creating the A Link to the Past world within the game. Starting with Kakariko Village, he’s worked through the Swordsmith and Lost Woods area, as well as Hyrule Castle. The video above shows the most recent update on the project, but you can view all of the videos so far in this playlist.

It’s still a work in progress, but a lot of the project is now complete, and it looks absolutely amazing! The number of features the game has really allows the creator to make landscapes that are almost identical to the original game.

What do you think of the project so far? Have you ever created a Zelda environment in another game? Let us know in the comments below!
