Nintendo’s main focus this E3 has been on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The game developers have revealed a lot of information on the game, and this is everything we know so far:

Link, sporting his Champions Tunic from Breath of the Wild, is not only making an appearance, but he also is part of the initial roster. His bombs detonate remotely, he shoots a beam from his sword when he’s at full health, and he has a new Final Smash. Princess Zelda makes an appearance as well, this time sporting her design from A Link Between Worlds.

She also has a new Final Smash, along with Ganondorf, who makes a return with his look from Ocarina of Time. Toon Link and Young Link both make an return, and Midna is available as an assist trophy. Even Kirby changes into a Breath of the Wild treasure chest when he uses his stone ability.

In general, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will feature every character from past entries to the series as its roster. There will be Echo Fighters, who so far, appear to be either Dark versions of characters, or characters who play similarly to more main stage characters, such as Dark Pit and Daisy, for example.

The game features a lot of updated stages, as well as new stages, most notably the Great Plateau Tower from Breath of the Wild. The game is also compatible with a GameCube controller, and the controls have been more streamlined in general.

Other than that, in terms of new characters, Ridley and Inkling Boy/Girl version, who can run out of ink, have been announced and confirmed, and, they will be receiving their own amiibo. Ridley’s amiibo debuts on release of the game, which is December 7th, 2018.
