While this might seem like a no-brainer for a game slated in 2015 (especially one that will likely highlight the holiday sales), we now have some official confirmation there will be a playable demo next year. It may kill some hope that Nintendo Treehouse plays the game today, though Treehouse has been playing parts of games that the public cannot — such as Midna earlier this week in Hyrule Warriors… so there is always a chance. More importantly for some, an earlier story we posted quoted Eiji Aonuma from Miiverse — it appears the post was mistranslated.

According to the official post on Japan’s Miiverse, the game will be playable next year, but what was shown today was just stuff actually rendered on the Wii U hardware, instead of gameplay as the original English post claimed. Here’s a very rough version based on Google Translate:

“I am asked to everyone in the media ‘is not it movie just PR for That?’ And for the video of the new Zelda Wii U that published, but in fact, it is in the video running on Wii U properly, I ‘are you saying that it! ‘can walk if you think of going to the mountains visible in the distance is not a lie.

Because I think the E3 of next year, would like to be able to play in practice, please stay tuned.” — Eiji Aonuma

Interesting the E3 bit was left out of the English translation on Miiverse proper. What do you think?
