Perhaps the single most nostalgic location in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Lon Lon Ranch holds a special place in the hearts of Zelda fans across generations. From meeting Epona for the first time to the music that feels like a warm blanket for a weary traveler, the ranch provides a respite from the frightening and difficult challenges gripping the rest of Hyrule. In celebration of this beloved song, two talented musicians from the Zelda community have teamed up to cover the song.

Aaron Grubb (Aaron Grubb Music) and vocalist Eivlya collaborated in this recent release of “Lon Lon Ranch,” and they capture all the feels. The project was their first time working together, but a shared love of Zelda and gaming created an instant connection, as anyone listening to the track can hear. While working, Grubb and Eivlya discussed games they were playing and their passion for music.

The pandemic has certainly caused a lot of loss and heartache, but it’s also opened the door for unique opportunities such as this. Grubb explained, “It was interesting to work on a project with someone who lives across the country. Heck, I don’t even know where she lives or her real name. I’ve made so many great online friends since the lock-down started.”

The duo also teamed up with Ann Brennan (Ann Brennan Design) for a gorgeous art piece that serves as the song track cover image.
