Posted on July 26 2018 by Kristen G. Rosario
One of the most notorious points in gaming history was when a handful of Zelda games came out for the Philips CD-i. The Faces of Evil, The Wand of Gamelon, and Zelda’s Adventure are considered by most to be the low points of the series. So what exactly happened, you may ask?
Well, Dr. Wily takes a look back at the trifecta of bad that came from this weird point in Zelda‘s life cycle. In this retrospective, he takes a closer look at exactly how this partnership with Nintendo came to be and looks at the key aspects as to why all three of these Zelda titles failed in the long run. There’s even a point where he considers what could have been done differently to make these games a success.
What do you think of the Zelda CD-i games? Is there any that you have tried personally? Let us know in the comments below!
