Gaijin Goombah recently added a video to his “Which Ninja” series in which he analyzes what makes ninjas from fictional series either realistic or completely fake. In this particular video, he focuses in on the many ninja-esque aspects of Breath of the Wild‘s Sheikah tribe. The Sheikah, Gaijin Goombah notes, have always been ninja-like within the Zelda series, but, before Breath of the Wild, there was nothing to really confirm this similarity.

The Sheikah clearly are influenced by Japanese ninja culture, as seen from the location of Kakariko Village and the frog statues within the village. Also, the style of the village has been inspired by Japanese history. Another point that Gaijin Goombah makes comes in toward the end of the video that clinches his argument, and leads into another video he did on the Yiga Clan.

Check out the video, and let us know your thoughts down in the comments!
