For those of you who do not know, each amiibo costume in Super Mario Maker has its own ending theme. You know the music that plays after Mario slides down the flagpole? Nintendo made a little song like that for every costume. There are 99 amiibo, including more costumes Mario can wear, such as Tingle. It would seem as if Nintendo pays attention to the little things, no?

In the video above, courtesy of GameXplain (who was on our podcast, by the way), Link is seen jumping and holding a piece of the Triforce. These are aspects of the amiibo costume we’ve already seen before: our E3 team experienced them first-hand.

One aspect of amiibo costumes that we have not seen much of is the ending themes, which can be viewed in the embedded video. Included in the costumes GameXplain tested was the Link costume, and his ending-theme does not disappoint. It’s a variation of his 8-bit theme, and it triumphantly plays after he completes the level.

Are you excited for Super Mario Maker? Maybe you’ve pre-loaded it on your Wii U already. Regardless, be sure to tell us your thoughts about the Link costume in the comments below.
