There have been a lot of announcements recently concerning Hyrule Warriors including new screenshots and the possibility of DLC. In a recent issue of Famitsu magazine, Hisashi Koinuma, Eiji Aonuma, and Yosuke Hayashi, who are all involved in the game’s development, announce a fair few things about the game.
See what they said after the jump!
One of the first things to be discussed was that there will be a lot of playable characters to choose from with each one having their own fighting style. Not only was Aonuma surprised just how many characters will be playable but he also thinks players will wonder why certain characters were included in the roster.
Hayashi revealed that, just like all Warriors games, Hyrule Warriors will incorporate weapon enhancements and character growth. The Fire Rod-esque weapon has had much speculation around it but Aonuma confirmed that it is not from the main series, and if the fire-rod appeared, the weapon could not have been used in the same way.
The bosses were briefly talked about and Hayashi mentioned there will be times you’ll need to fight a group of minions which will then enable you to unleash a special attack against the boss. No hints were given regarding what the bosses will be of but, if the history of the Zelda series is anything to go by, they will be great fights.
Finally, more information will be announced at E3 which starts on June 10th in Los Angeles. There will also be a playable demo of the game at the convention. For more on this, check out the original Siliconera article.
