One of the most anticipated Nintendo games of the year is Intelligent Systems’s Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This impressive strategy game is set on a continent ruled by three powerful factions. While the player must ultimately choose which faction to fight with, the game allows the player to meet the diverse sets of individuals from each house. This allows the player to learn more about the complex relationships between individuals and kingdoms, and potentially forces the player to make difficult choices.

With this in mind, would you like to see more diversity and factions among the Hylians? In most Zelda games, the Kingdom of Hyrule is presented as a homogeneous, united nation. Having different factions within Hyrule would add diversity and complexity to the kingdom. It would also provide intriguing choices for Link to make throughout the story.

One area of factionalism that was present in Breath of the Wild was the Yiga Clan. These dark Sheikah developed a powerful animosity towards Hyrule and even swore allegiance to Ganon. These banana-loving villains hound Link throughout his adventure, reminding the player that even the strongest peoples can be divided.

So what do you think? Would you like to see factionalism within the Hylians? Let us know in the comments below!
