Dungeons of different kinds have made appearances in many different video game franchises for decades. Of course, in The Legend of Zelda, dungeons are typically mazes with set paths that must be journeyed through in a specific way as to collect keys and items to progress. However, this isn’t the same style that is used in dungeons from different games. For example the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games have dungeons with randomized layouts and items, and the only things that remain the same are the enemies that the dungeons contain and its overall theme. And while there is nothing wrong with the classic type of Zelda dungeons, would you be interested to see a more random style of dungeon, like the ones that appear in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games? It could possibly add a new form of challenge, forcing the player to approach dungeons in an entirely different way. The player wouldn’t even necessarily have to examine each room, which could be either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it.
