Hyrule Warriors was released on the Wii U in 2014. The original game is over five years old, but we now have the Definitive Edition, which includes all the downloadable content that had been released since the game initially came out. It had a unique story with a couple of new characters, and took us across time through popular Zelda titles like Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. The game gave us a unique spin on a Zelda title, but was also not like traditional Zelda games. It’s described as more of a hack and slash style of game, but there were still many objectives, secrets, and other things to uncover.

Personally I really enjoyed the game! I loved it so much that when the port for the Switch released I immediately bought it. In my opinion, it was worth the extra money (and time) to get back to where I was once before. I would love to see a sequel that expounded more on the fates of Lana and Cia; the new characters that we meet in the game. I would also like to see another focus on Linkle, maybe her and Link would get the chance to meet up. I’d like to see a sequel explore other stories like Link’s Awakening, Breath of the Wild, or even Majora’s Mask! I’m not sure how those three games would fit together, but I would love to see another game like it. Especially since we don’t know how long we’ll be waiting for Breath of the Wild 2.
