The long awaited news of a Nintendo Switch Pro is finally here–well, sort of. The Japanese gaming company shadow dropped the news of the latest version of its Switch console, the Switch OLED Model . Featuring an expanded, 7-inch OLED display, doubled storage space (34GB to 64 GB), extended battery life, and a wired LAN port, the new model is a significant upgrade to the launch Switch and current models consumers have; however, the announcement left some disappointed by the lack of 4k TV support and no upgraded CPU.

As the owner of a launch day Switch, I’m tempted by the new OLED model, but as my console is still working well, I won’t be pre-ordering this upgrade. I wonder how many other Nintendo owners are taking a wait and see approach. Owners of Nintendo’s handheld DS / 3DS family will likely remember how many iterations the company released and worry that a better Switch, perhaps with an upgraded processor, is just around the corner. This got me wondering, What would it take for you to buy the Nintendo Switch OLED Model? For me, the answer to that question is a Zelda themed bundle.

Imagine if Nintendo released a bundle with Skyward Sword HD pre-downloaded, painted a Skyloft Blue and including those impossible to find Joy-Cons. Better yet, what if Nintendo released a Breath of the Wild 2 bundle that included the game and a Wild Themed color scheme, or even the legendary gold editions that get released once a generation?  I would absolutely spend the money, in spite of my current Switch still being in working order. For some, this may still not be a good enough reason to put down the $349.99 (USD) for the Nintendo Switch OLED Model that is only a moderate upgrade.
