Nintendo just announced a surprise Nintendo Direct for tomorrow afternoon, focusing on their 2015 releases.

As Zelda fans, we have to wonder what exactly that means for us; are we going to get any news on Zelda U? A new trailer perhaps, maybe a short message from Aonuma, or at least a screenshot of the game?

We’ll almost certainly hear some news about the Zelda DLC on Mario Kart 8; we know that Nintendo will reveal the release date, and maybe they’ll include some footage of the new tracks, or again, at least some screenshots of what we’re going to get to see. I’m really excited for this in particular, and I’m almost completely sure we’ll get to see something.

The Nintendo Direct is going to cover, mostly, games that will be released before or during Spring of 2015. This does make it a bit unlikely that we’ll see Zelda U, but it’s definitely not impossible; this is one of Nintendo’s sole biggest upcoming titles, and if any game is going to break the spring rule, it’ll probably be Zelda U.

As for non-Zelda titles, what do you think we’ll get to see? I’m betting that we’ll get to see the reveal of the remaining Smash characters, and probably a huge feature regarding the rest of the game, and Nintendo might even show us one of the unrevealed gameplay modes. Other games to be released this winter, like Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as well as Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, are sure to be featured as well. I’m also really to learn more about the Amiibos, and possibly a new trailer for the recently released Bayonetta 2.

What do you guys think? Are we going to get some Zelda U news, perhaps a trailer? Who’s excited for the Mario Kart 8 DLC? What non-Zelda announcements are you excited for? Let us know in the comments!
