Spoiler Alert: This article and the comments section may contain spoilers for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
As we continue to explore a new (but also very familiar) Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, we have come across both new and familiar faces. The new characters have a variety of roles and relevance, and a variety of… idiosyncrasies. The personalities (or lack thereof) can cause contention and debate among the fanbase, so it’s about time we take initial stock of where people stand on new characters in Echoes of Wisdom; namely, who’s the fan favorite?
Naturally, Tri plays a huge role, and probably has a large number of big fans already. There’s also the Stamp Guy, who fills the Tingle-and-Beetle-less void that this game has. There’s all the leaders of regions and races, as well as their community members. There’s Romi, the young girl in Hyrule Castle Town, and the couple in Suthorn Village who talk of traveling one day. This is only a few of the new characters we meet in Echoes of Wisdom.
For me, my favorite might have to be General Wright. He is just so wholesomely stubborn. As a fearless and inspiring leader of the Hyrule guards, General Wright always makes me smile when he runs off the screen screaming. It’s just so relatable, really.
What about you? Who’s your favorite new character in Echoes of Wisdom? Make like General Wright and run screaming it into the comments!
