Daily Debate: Which Zelda NPC Are You Most Like?

Playing Zelda while growing up, one of my favorite things to do was imagine myself as NPC in-game. I mean, I resonated with Link on multiple levels considering he’s the player’s avatar, but there was something so interesting about comparing myself to other characters.

I liked to imagine myself as Princess Zelda, with her gorgeous blonde hair and pretty dress. But I also likened myself to Malon from Ocarina of Time (although I see nothing of myself in her now that I’m an adult). I thought Malon’s voice was so beautiful as she sang in Lon Lon Ranch at night, and the little romantic in me imagined that she sang for Link, the man she would marry one day!

Nowadays, I’d like to believe I’m most like Urbosa from Breath of the Wild (even if I’m not quite on her exact level). She’s a strong, fierce woman who cares a lot about the people she loves, and I get the impression that everything she says or any action she takes is done with the weight of experience behind it. She also rises to a challenge but keeps a cool head while she works. Who wouldn’t want to be like Urbosa?!
