Late nights at the Zelda Dungeon Marathon can yield some interesting conversations. About 30 minutes into an early morning run of A Link Between Worlds, we started talking at length about something that I think is worth further discussion: What Zelda dungeon name would also make a great name for a restaurant? We started to get pretty creative — including some “wrong answers only” responses — but I narrowed down my favorite three:

Dodongo’s Cavern (Ocarina of Time): Read this as “Dodongo’s Tavern” and you’ll get a better picture of what I’m trying to paint: a cavernous dive bar filled with themed cocktails and fire-roasted treats. Perhaps you’ll be brave enough to try their lizard-on-a-stick… (not legally available at certain locations).

Wing Dungeon (Oracle of Ages): “You’ve heard of Wing Stop, now get ready for… Wing Dungeon!” Seriously, though, this sounds great. I imagine a Medieval Times-style restaurant with a variety of wings to choose from, and maybe some jousting Bulblins as entertainment. You can even get your photo taken with Princess Zelda on your way in!

Catfish’s Maw (Link’s Awakening): This one really does write itself, and I’m struggling to find a dungeon with a better restaurant name than this one. Bonus points if it’s on a big boat-turned-diner that’s painted like a giant catfish.

Hungry yet? I am, and I’d love to find myself at any of these restaurants right now, so long as I don’t have to worry about fighting any monsters or solving any puzzles. What do you think of my list? What dungeon do you think has the best restaurant name? Place your order in the comments below!
