The bird-like Rito in The Legend of Zelda make up one of my personal favorite races in the series. However, they’ve only made an appearance twice, and in vastly different locations, as well. In their first appearance in The Wind Waker, their home was on Dragon Roost Island, with the birdfolk living around the base of a large volcano. While there wasn’t much to see looking out from Dragon Roost Island, it certainly had great music. Meanwhile, the Rito, in their most recent and only other appearance in Breath of the Wild, had taken residence in a totally different locale. There, Rito Village wound around a massive stone pillar (which totally looks like a bird’s perch from a distance) towering out of a lake and into the sky. It overlooked frozen mountains to the north and luscious green hills everywhere else.

Now, which of these two versions of the Rito’s home do you prefer? Do you like the rustic, classic version in The Wind Waker? Or do you prefer the more unique version from Breath of the Wild? Leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
