Daily Debate: Which Side Quest Gives the Best Reward?

The Legend of Zelda has offered players a large variety of side quests over the years. We’ve seen everything from a quest to help a kid start a successful business, a task to defend a small farm from an alien invasion, and everything in between. But let’s take a look at the rewards for these optional tasks, shall we? Which reward is best?

While some might say that the journey is its own reward, or that the reward is the sense of accomplishment for completing the quest, most side quests give something a bit more tangible. One of my personal favorite rewards involves collecting the Maimais in A Link Between Worlds. For every ten you find, one of your items gets a permanent upgrade. And at the very end, your Spin Attack is made larger and stronger. Other rewards that are commonly appreciated are the Biggoron’s Sword in Ocarina of Time, the Fierce Deity Mask in Majora’s Mask, and the many other sword upgrades that are given throughout the series.
