Since the release of the first title in The Legend of Zelda franchise, Zelda fans have been able to enjoy gameplay on a diverse number of consoles.

In 1987, Nintendo introduced the multi-million selling game, The Legend of Zelda, which was played on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) to North America and Europe.  With the release of each new console, avid gamers were treated to a new adventure with Link.

As the years passed by, Nintendo produced not only home consoles, including the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube and the Nintendo Wii, but they also produced portable consoles, including the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS.  Each new device supported a new and exciting Zelda game.

Fast-forward to the present day, and the release of Breath of the Wild, which can be played on both the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch.  Nintendo have become more dynamic with each new console, but there always has to be a favorite!

I have loved playing Zelda on the Nintendo consoles and my preference is definitely for the Wii U, although I do have to mention just how comfortable playing Ocarina of Time was on the Nintendo 64 controller!

Which console do you prefer to play Zelda on?  Let us know in the comments below!
