Daily Debate: Which Epona was the Best?

Sidekicks are important. And Zelda games have a deep bench of them! While your sidekick may end up being a talking boat, a nagging fairy, or a reliable steed, Link just can’t get the job done without his friends. When taking in the history of Zelda sidekicks, my thoughts, however, strike towards his noble steed, Epona.

Be it Breath of the Wild or Ocarina of Time, Epona has played a critical role for aiding Link on his journey to save Hyrule. But which Epona was the most useful or helpful in your opinion?

Personally, I feel the highlight of Nintendo’s work with Link’s noble horse was in Twilight Princess. The horseback battle with Ganon was so well-done. Thanks to the way Epona was implemented in the game, to me that fight is one of the best moments in the series!
