It’s difficult to believe it’s already been nearly two years since the sequel to Breath of the Wild was announced. Serving as the closer to Nintendo’s E3 2019 presentation, this brief unveiling offered plenty of intrigue. Thank goodness for that, as this is the only footage we’ve seen. Considering how many details there are to pick apart, I’d like to know which particular element has captured your imagination the most throughout this past year and nine months.

For me, it’s all about that mummified elephant in the room. Although this man has popped up in spin-off titles such as Super Smash Bros. and Hyrule Warriors, Ganondorf himself hasn’t been in a mainline Zelda title since Twilight Princess. Come November, that will have been 15 years ago! More than anything else in that trailer, the prospect of the Gerudo King making his grand return has me over the moon. What will his final design look like? How will he be characterized this time around? Now that voice acting is a part of the Zelda series, what will he sound like? Will he play a different role than what we’re used to? I just can’t wait to find out.

Again, what about you? Which aspect of Breath of the Wild 2’s first and only trailer have you thought about the most? Link’s glowing arm? The swirling runes? The possibility of subterranean exploration? Zelda’s haircut? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
