Those sparkly, shimmering Heart Pieces are a funny bunch; sometimes so close and yet so far. One might be in plain sight, but until you pick up that specific piece of equipment it will continue to elude you. I confess to getting quite gleeful when I can finally backtrack to pick up a Heart Piece. There is nothing like that triumphant sound when you fill a Heart Container either. I missed having them in Breath of the Wild, Spirit Orbs just aren’t the same. So, I got to thinking about the easiest Heart Pieces to find and the most devious in Zelda games.

The easiest Heart Piece I have found was in Oracle of Seasons. All I had to do was burn down a tree with an ember seed.  Disclaimer: please don’t try that one at home kids!

In Twilight Princess, I had completely missed a Heart Piece in Faron Woods. It’s in the same cave where you pick up a small key in the northeast, don’t ask me how I missed it! Good job it was the last heart piece I needed and Fanadi pointed me in the right direction.

The most devious I’ve found so far, is not a Heart Piece you can collect in a straightforward manner. In Skyward Sword, some of the Goddess Cubes have to be activated first before you can claim a Heart Piece. One Goddess Cube on the volcano summit of Eldin, requires some skydiving around a tall pillar to land on a small platform. I find controlling Link during a dive tricky at the best of times! Unless you are using Fi on a regular basis to search for Goddess Cubes this is one that can easily pass you by too.

So, what are the easiest and the most devious Heart Pieces you have found? Let us know in the comments below!
