Daily Debate: When Do You Think We’ll See News About Breath of the Wild 2?

Happy New Year everyone and Happy (supposedly) Breath of the Wild 2 year! The sequel to Breath of the Wild has been teased for quite some time now and everyone has been anxious for some more Zelda news from Nintendo. Last year Nintendo gave us some small, but much wanted updates along with an expected release date of 2022 for the highly anticipated game. Now that 2022 is finally upon us I think it’s time to take a step back and ask, when will we see more news about Breath of the Wild 2?
Nintendo in the past has done a Winter Direct around February so if I had to take a guess we might see something in the first Nintendo Direct of the year. My next prediction would be that we could get a full fledged trailer out on the fifth anniversary of Breath of the Wild in March. If not early in the year I could see Nintendo getting ready to go all out for Breath of the Wild 2 at E3 this Summer. All of this is just hopeful speculation, but I feel like my predictions are logical. Knowing that we have a 2022 target year does narrow some ideas down though. I, like the rest of the Zelda community, is more than ready to hear something new.
