Whether you prefer raining down light arrows on ranks of cowering Bokoblins or slashing through Lynels and Hinox with the Master Sword, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity gives players great flexibility of choice in which weapons they use to drive back the armies of darkness. In addition to an assortment of weapons from all the races of Hyrule, players who advance late into the game gain the ability to add and remove seals and to increase the limit for weapon level. These variables give players total control over weapon customization and a good deal of latitude to find the weapon combination that best fits their style of play. Personally, I like to use the Master Sword when I’m playing levels from the mainline story, and I love the Hylian Shield that goes with it. I’ve maxed out the levels and use the “Special Attack +” seal, along with “Special  Charge Rate +” seal. For the remaining slots, I use some combination of buffs to regular and strong attacks, or the “Perfect Dodge Timing +” Seal. This combination makes me feel every bit the Legendary Hero on the battlefield.

When I’m playing side missions, I enjoy using a maxed out Royal Guard Halberd. (Yes, I play way too much with Link). When I’m using my other favorite character, Impa, I use a maxed out Devoted Kodachi.

Perhaps you like to have a bit of fun and prefer eccentric or non-traditional weapons such as the Soup Ladle or Tree Branch. What about the Champions’ weapons? Playing as Urbosa and wielding a fully maxed Scimitar of the Seven feels pretty epic.
