Daily Debate: What Zelda Game Doesn’t Get Talked About Enough?
Posted on January 08 2023 by Chakell Herbert

2023 looks to be the year of revival for the Zelda series, with Tears of the Kingdom mere months away from release! This new title is poised to take over the conversation among Zelda fans, but I have feeling it won’t completely drown out discussion about other beloved games in the series. Since 2017, Breath of the Wild has consistently been a hot topic online, as it seems like players are still unveiling new secrets almost six years later. Also, many of the series’ mainstream games like Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and The Wind Waker are still being analyzed and theorized about, and fans can’t seem to get enough.
However, some games in this beloved series fall a bit under the radar when overshadowed by some of the bigger releases. As one who has played nearly all the games in the series, I am always a bit disheartened when some of my all-time favorites like The Minish Cap and A Link Between Worlds don’t get a lot of recognition. Though they were both limited by being exclusive to the Game Boy and the Nintendo 3DS, respectfully, they remain in my top 10 games of all time! Their stories were so memorable, and the gameplay mechanics in both were some of the best in the series.
Of course, some games are better than others; but in retrospect, all Zelda games bring something great to the table in their own unique way, and they all deserve adequate recognition in my opinion!
What Zelda game(s) do you think is not talked about enough? Let us know in the comments!

Chakell (pronounced shuh-kell) is an associate editor for Zelda Dungeon! She has loved The Legend of Zelda series since she was a little girl because of its equal mix of princesses, besting bad guys, and heartfelt stories. Chakell lives in the overall tame state of Utah, but holds onto her childhood hopes to find an adventure in her backyard one day. She has a degree in English and is a full-time editor for a magazine. You can usually find her gaming (obviously), laughing with her husband, taking a long time to tell stories because she keeps getting distracted; getting sucked into books and podcasts; or snuggling her cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
