Daily Debate: What Zelda Creature Would You Dress Up As For Halloween?

The spooky season is in full swing. If you’re planning a costume, hopefully you have the details down by now as Halloween is just around the corner. I’ve always loved this holiday. It isn’t the candy or the parties, though, that make Halloween exciting for me. It’s the monsters! Thankfully, the Zelda series has a vast bestiary of fearsome foes and creepy creatures. If one were looking for costume inspiration, this franchise would offer no shortage of options. If you wanted to base your Halloween costume around a creature from the Zelda series, what would it be?
When I was five, I went trick-or-treating as Godzilla. Of course, it didn’t resemble any modern incarnation of the radioactive reptile. It was a big, green, silly-looking lizard with a toothy grin and cartoonish spines. I recently dug this old costume out of my parent’s attic and couldn’t help, but notice it bore a striking resemblance to one of Ocarina of Time‘s most iconic bosses; the Infernal Dinosaur King Dodongo. Now, the boss of Dodongo’s Cavern isn’t bipedal like the colossal kaiju, but I’m sure a few alterations could turn this into a Zelda-inspired reworking of the classic monster. Either that or I’ll crawl around all night having blueberries thrown into my mouth.
