Daily Debate: What Zelda Character Would be Your High School Best Friend?

You tell them all your secrets. You talk for hours on the phone each night. You get matching bracelets. You argue over a mutual crush. Our closest friends in high school define an all-important part of our lives and help shape who we are today.
With an ever-growing list of characters from the Zelda franchise possessing an array of traits, quirks, and personalities, there’s a variety to choose from when contemplating who would be your teenage bestie. Whether you’re looking for someone who’s supportive, kind, or likely to roast you, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say there’s a character that would be able to sit at any lunch table clique in the high school cafeteria.
Personally, I could see myself being good friends with someone like Midna from Twilight Princess, and using each other’s snark to bring out the best in each other, and maybe get into a little bit of trouble in the process. When needing a shoulder to lean on, I’d naturally gravitate towards a friend like Saria from Ocarina of Time, who would help instate values of loyalty and compassion in me at an early age. Of course, I would need a goofy and care-free friend like Sidon, the prince (and eventual king) of the Zora in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and the “golden retriever” of the bunch.
