The Zelda series is one that arguably strives to push boundaries when it comes to certain aspects of video games. The Legend of Zelda for the NES was the first kind of open world RPG of its kind, for example. Following that, Zelda II tried to build more of a JRPG feeling. Ocarina of Time really pushed the boundaries of the N64 and what a new 3D environment meant for gaming.
But, what do you think makes Zelda games innovative? Is it the drive of the developers, the nature of Nintendo as a company, or a mix of different elements? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
