The Zelda series is well known for the variety of different races that populate the land of Hyrule. From the graceful Rito to the strong, female Gerudo warriors, the unique and diversified cultures of each race help Hyrule stand out as a fantastical world.

Ever since I played Ocarina of Time, I’ve had a soft spot for the Zora. A humanoid, aquatic race of fish-people, the Zora’s race design has always really appealed to me. Being able to adapt into Mikau’s form and play guitar when I wasn’t punching every single enemy I saw in Majora’s Mask cemented the Zora Mask as my favorite of the transformation masks. All of the races greatly benefited from excellent world and culture building in Breath of the Wild, and the Zora are no exception, steeped in tradition and trade. What is your favorite race featured in the Zelda series? Let us know in the comments!
