Daily Debate: What is Your Favorite Pop Culture Reference for a Character Name in the Zelda Series?

The Legend of Zelda series references many outside sources with character names.

Let’s start with the big one: Zelda. Miyamoto has confirmed that he named our beloved princess after Zelda Fitzgerald, an American socialite from the early 1900’s. In addition there are the sisters from the book Little Women, Beth, Joelle, Meg, and Amy, who gave their names for the Poe sisters in Ocarina of Time. Also there is Telma, the bartender in Twilight Princess and her cat Louise. This likely comes from the American movie, Thelma and Louise. In this movie the two strong women are helping each other out and end up running from the law.

What additional ones can you think of? Which are your favorites? Telma and Louise are favorites of mine because it took me years to make the connection between the characters and the reference.
