Breath of the Wild is full of terrifying creatures and enemies. As you progress in the game, those enemies appear in various different colors, and become even more terrifying! Breath of the Wild has been out since March 2017, and by now, everyone has a non-boss enemy that they hate to face. What enemy do you find to be the most terrifying?

In my opinion, it would a good tie between Guardian Stalkers and Lynels. Guardian Stalkers are not hard enemies to face, but I think it’s the music that accompanies their presence that makes them terrifying to encounter. There have been many times where I’m walking through Hyrule field, and the music starts, and it just makes me jump. Guardians can also have the benefit of a surprise attack if you are not paying attention as well.

If I was backed in the corner and had to choose though, I would have to say Lynels are the most terrifying enemy to face. I really hate fighting them and that makes farming Lynel parts a pain. Unlike Guardians, Lynels don’t have a super-special musical theme that accompanies them. I’m currently playing Master Mode in Breath of the Wild and the Golden Lynels are a force of nature I just don’t want to deal with. Lynels really eat through weapons too, especially if you’re trying to conserve your best ones. The Red Lynel outside of Zora’s Domain isn’t hard to face, so I do make a small exception for that one, but I still avoid it unless I want its weapons. The nice part about Lynels is that once you know where they are, you can always avoid them.

What do you think? What is the most terrifying non-boss enemy in Breath of the Wild? Sound off in the comments below!
