While working from home or writing Daily Debates, I’ve made a habit of going to YouTube and selecting one of the myriad videos titled “Relaxing Zelda Music”. Indeed, perhaps more than any other video game series, Zelda’s tunes help me find my groove and get into a rhythm with whatever I’m working on. Even the most melancholic pieces have a serene, relaxing quality to them.

That said, there are two tracks that I find myself returning to most often, both of which can be heard in Twilight Princess’s Lanayru Province: “Lake Hylia” and “Hena’s Fishing Hole”. For me, these songs are about as tranquil as they come. There’s a nostalgic warmth to them that perfectly captures that game’s softer side — something that isn’t talked about enough. It’s the kind of music that helps me stay focused throughout the work day, yet is so calming that I could totally see myself falling asleep to it.

I’d love to know which piece of Zelda music speaks to you on that type of level. Which song or theme do you find most relaxing? Let us know in the comments below!
