Nearly five years later, Breath of the Wild still holds up as one of the greatest Zelda games of all time. I realize that that is a very bold statement to make, but I believe that it is true. Breath of the Wild is a beautiful open world experience that takes players to the vast wilds of Hyrule, and despite being very linear in the beginning, once you jump off The Great Plateau for the first time you have the freedom to play as you wish. So, what is the most creative way that you have completed the main quest in Breath of the Wild?

As of writing I am currently working on my most creative way of playing the game. My first two plays consisted of playing the game normally including all of the DLC, and my second play through was Master Mode. Now I have decided to issue a challenge for myself! I am by no means a speed-runner, so my challenge is more technical in nature. My challenge is glitchless run, so no fancy tricks, but I am not allowed to get any tower (except the one on The Great Plateau), absolutely no fast travel, must complete all four Divine Beasts, in any order. I must also obtain The Master Sword with the minimum amount of hearts and no more hearts than the required amount. I must also capture all of the memories as well.

The lack of fast travel has proven to be the greatest challenge. I have discovered so many places in Breath of the Wild that I have never seen before, and I think that is a true testament of how fantastic the game is. It has made me test myself as a gamer, and I’ve been enjoying playing the game differently.

What about you? Have you completed Breath of the Wild in a creative way? Let us know in the comments below!
