Though The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been out for over two years now, I find myself going back to it from time to time, and I’m sure many of you do as well. Yet, each time, there are certain things that I find I can’t bring myself to do or things that I try to avoid doing if I can. So it got me wondering, what are some things that you actively try to avoid doing when playing Breath of the Wild?

Something that I try to do is keep the beautiful environment of the game’s world intact. Part of this for me is trying to avoid hurting any of the foxes in the game. I see them as cute and harmless, and as there are plenty of other options for food, I prefer to let the foxes peacefully wander the game world for me to see and appreciate from time to time. I also try to avoid cutting down trees, though I will on occasion if I immediately need wood for something, such as the Tarrey Town sidequest.

Another thing that I’ve heard of others avoiding is fighting certain enemies. Many players have difficulty with certain parts of Breath of the Wild’s combat system, especially things such as Perfect Shielding and Perfect Guarding. Because of this, some prefer to avoid some of the harder enemies of the game, such as Lynels, Guardian Stalkers, and Guardian Scouts in the “Major Test of Strength” shrines.

What about you? Do you try to avoid harming the game’s flora or fauna? Are there any enemies you try to avoid fighting? Or are there other things entirely that you try to avoid in Breath of the Wild? Leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
