​Daily Debate: What Dungeon do You Hate Most in the Zelda Series?

A common topic for many Zelda fans across the globe is what dungeons they dislike the most. There is always that one dungeon, that one temple, that had you so frustrated and filled with rage that you despise the very mention of its name. There might have been a dungeon that even made you rage quit, furiously hitting the power button without even saving. Or, you could have pulled a Markiplier, and threw your controller so hard that it broke. Whatever the case is, we want to know your pick for the most hated dungeon in the Zelda series.

Zelda fans who have played Ocarina of Time, the first installment of the Zelda series that made the jump from 2D to 3D, will most certainly remember the infamous Water Temple. The Water Temple is one of Zelda director Eiji Aonuma’s most remembered creations. It is the epitome of tediousness and frustration, dubbed as the hardest dungeon of all time by many (and also brilliant in level design!)

Another Zelda dungeon that has earned a nasty reputation among the Zelda community is the rage-inducing Lanayru Mining Facility from Skyward Sword. Its mind-boggling puzzles combined with Link‘s infuriating auto-jump made this temple absolutely unbearable for me. It’s a wonder I kept playing, let alone beat the dang thing.
